Rojas Design, Inc. is a multi-disciplinary, minority business enterprise (MBE) offering professional services in architecture, BIM, interior design, landscape architecture, master planning, and sustainability. Each project receives the continuous attention of the firm’s key personnel, who work closely together to assure that the requisite management, coordination and top-level design time is applied. This approach yields successful adherence to client needs and aesthetic goals. Andrés T. Rojas, ASLA
Andrés T. Rojas is an award winning landscape architect and architectural designer with related experience in urban design, master planning, real estate development, and construction management. Mr. Rojas has broad experience in the architectural and landscape architectural design of diverse, sustainable projects. Under his direction, the firm has undertaken many residential, commercial, and hospitality projects, facility rehabilitations, and new facilities including those for Harvard University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Tufts University, Equity Residential Properties, Berkeley Investments, Massachusetts Department of Housing & Community Development, Boston Housing Authority, New Boston Development, Massachusetts Department of Capital Asset Management, and many other private and public development entities.
Mr. Rojas received a Master of Landscape Architecture from the Harvard University Graduate School of Design in1977; Studied Real Estate Development & Management, Business Operations & Management at the Harvard Business School in 1976-77; received a Bachelor of Science from the City College of New York, School of Architecture & Environmental Studies, in 1975; and, received a Bachelor of Media Arts (Honorary) from the Massachusetts Communications College in1999. In addition to being a registered Landscape Architect in MA, CT, RI and NY, Mr. Rojas is CLARB certified for national landscape architectural registration, and is a licensed Construction Supervisor and Real Estate Broker in MA.
Prior to founding Rojas Design, Mr. Rojas held top-level positions in architectural and landscape firms with national and international reputations. He has also been a planning & design critic and lecturer at Harvard Graduate School of Design, the City College of New York, Boston Architectural College, University of Madrid, and University of Santander, Spain. Mr. Rojas has been a jury member for several regional and national design competitions. Mr. Rojas is a former member of the Board of Trustees of the Massachusetts Communications College. He is a member of the American Society of Landscape Architects and the Boston Society of Landscape Architects. Mr. Rojas is currently Chair of the Town of Belmont’s Board of Selectmen and spent 8 prior years on the Planning Board.
Allison Miele Rojas, NCIDQ, LEED AP
Director of Interior Design - Principal
Allison Miele Rojas is an award winning, NCIDQ certified interior designer and LEED Accredited Professional with related experience in architecture, lighting design, product design, space planning, and community participation. Ms. Rojas has extensive experience with both public and private sector projects including corporate facilities, health care facilities, schools & universities, children’s facilities, commercial projects, retail, hospitality projects, multi-family housing, building rehabilitation, high technology facilities, and public participation processes. Her specific experience includes projects for Harvard School of Dental Medicine, ING Clarion, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Harvard University, Shriners Burn Hospital-Boston, Keegan Werlin, LLP, and Union Office Interiors, among many others.
Ms. Rojas’ education includes a Bachelor of Interior Architecture from the Rhode Island School of Design in 1985; a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Rhode Island School of Design also in 1985; as well as, Fine Arts Studies at Rhode Island College – 1979-81.
Ms. Rojas is an active member of NEWIRE (New England Women in Real Estate) and has recently served on the Board, and has also been active in the International Interior Design Association, Children with AIDS Program (CAP), Casa Myrna Vazquez, Second Step, and the Designer’s Lighting Forum of New England, where she was on the Board of Directors. She has received substantial recognition including an Honor Award from the Boston Society of Architects – New England Healthcare Assembly, an International Illumination Design Award, a DuPont Antron Design Award – Healthcare Category, a Build Boston Award – Unbuilt Projects Citation, NEWIRE Achievement Awards for Networking, the 2004 Claude Emanuel Menders Mentorship Award from the Boston Architectural College (BAC), Shaw Carpet Custom Design Award, and the 2006 NEWIRE Entrepreneur Award.
Daniel F. Glazer, RA, LEED AP
Director of Architecture – Principal
Daniel F. Glazer is a registered architect with experience in creative new construction and rehabilitation design, sustainable and green design, and construction management. Mr. Glazer has expertise with both public and private sector projects including: corporate facilities, health care facilities, schools & universities, residential developments, commercial projects, building rehabilitation and public participation processes. As Director of Architecture, he is responsible for overseeing architectural projects from design through construction. Mr. Glazer participates fully with the other principals, Andrés T. Rojas and Allison Miele Rojas, in seeing that all of the firm’s designs, policies and projects maintain the highest standards. His practice is built on understanding and achieving clients’ goals by developing architectural solutions that balance a high level of design integrity and regard for pragmatic concerns.
Mr. Glazer’s specific experience in the design of architecture projects includes: University of Massachusetts, Harvard University, Women and Infants Hospital and Endicott College, among many others. For example, the University of Massachusetts’ nursing program, now considered a top tier program, benefited from his rigorous leadership throughout the design and construction of their new state of the art hospital simulation facility. Mr. Glazer was also the project architect during the construction of the technically demanding, LEED Gold certified, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Woman and Infants Hospital in Providence, RI.
